Originally a ceramics manufacturing centre, Kelston is now home to a vibrant multi-cutural community.
Local schools include Kelston Primary School, St Leonards Road School, Kelston Intermediate, Kelston Girls College and Kelston Boys High School.
It’s also home to the Kelston Deaf Education Centre, which caters for hearing-impaired children from the northern half of the North Island, from preschool to year 15.
